This undersink water filter system features our Doulton Ultracarb three stage cartridge combining the highly efficient filtration properties of ceramic with the enhanced water treatment properties of activated carbon and the heavy metal reduction capabilities of ion exchange media. First Stage: The first stage consists of Doulton sterasyl ceramic which provides genuine sub micron filtration. The cartridge reduces fine particulate matter, bacteria, cysts and turbidity. The incorporation of silver locked within the ceramic structure gives enhanced bacteriostatic and self sterilizing properties. Second stage: An inner core of activated carbon block removes chlorine and organic compounds. Third Stage: Ion exchange resin reduces lead and other heavy metals. A variety of dedicated fittings are placed inside the bore of the element to remove chlorine, bad taste and odor, pesticides, herbicides, industrial solvents lead and other heavy metals. All Doulton ceramic cartridges are bacteriostatic - that is, self sterilizing for bacteriological safe cleaning and handling. Lead and other heavy metal reduction. Quick-connect fittings make for fast, easy installation! Recommended flow rate 0.5 Gallons Per Minute Recommended change frequency 12 months or 1,000 gallons, whichever is sooner. Includes mounting bracket, housing wrench, cold water valve connecter and faucet spout.

Man, if you like clean water, you have to get one of these. No gaudy faucet attachments looking ugly on your sink, this one fits under the counter. easy to install and works GREAT. water tastes so clean. better than any bottled water i've drank. All my friends say the same thing. The filter can be cleaned and reused. I've had mine for about 8 months, and still haven't had to clean it. Ceramic is definitely the way to go. Great price too.

Got the item quickly. Installed the following weekend without any problems. All necessary connectors were already included. The faucet I got was even better than the one in the picture (the spout was stainless steel or plastic looking like it). The only cons is that the plastic handle in the back is somewhat stiffer than I would prefer. Water tastes significantly better than what you get from the tap.

This filter is a wonderful system. One trip to the store and less than an hour and my husband had it installed (he is not a contractor). This system takes out the chlorine and other metal tastes in our water and gives a water that tastes cleaner than a lot of so called bottled spring waters that are out there. And as an added bonus, with less water bottle in my recycle bin I am down to once a month on having to roll it out to the curb. If you have been thinking about a sink filtering water system this is the one I recommend. As for the previous comments in regards to the dripping faucet we only had a bubble at the outlet for about a week and now nothing; this is such a non-issue. Also, the delivery was extremely quick; came within 3 days.

Product is good. Installation went pretty easy. Product lacked good documentation on what it filters. Had to contact company for the listing of its specifications. They sent me this via email very quickly. Nice product, but it would have been more comforting the water filtering specifications came with the product.
I would recommend ceramic filters over reverse osmosis, after having both. Water tastes better.
